And the only thing I haven't tried is repairing from the boot disc. Reverting back to the restore point every time works. I've checked Windows Update and I have disabled all of them, but the BSOD still comes up. There is a new restore point every time, which was created by a Critical Update. I can restore back to a previous date a few months ago. I have tried all options on the repair menu, repairing start up says that the registry is corrupted.
Nothing happened for around 15/20 minutes so I held the power which shut down the machine.Īfter that, I started getting BSOD, stating Bad system config info - which would then reboot. Turned it off, and when I rebooted a few hours later, it hung on the start up screen. Was using my laptop earlier this morning, was working fine.
